The Goddess Brigid is honored by the tending of Her eternal flame. In return for such devotion, Brigid blesses with inspiration, protection, and love. Traditionally, Her votive fire is kept alive by 19 priestesses, who each take a turn minding the flame from sunset to sunset. On the 20th day, Brigid herself tends the flame. This Flamekeeper rosary necklace has three sets of 19 beads in two-tone emerald/amethyst Czech glass with golden Celtic knots. Amulet pendant is made from a 19th-century French optician's lens, with Brigid's triple spiral on the reverse. These older lenses have tiny numbers scratched on the glass, which adds to their antique charm.
