The way of the mystic and the way of the artist are very much alike, except that the mystic does not have a craft. The craft holds the artist to the world, and the mystic goes through his psyche into the transcendent...
I had always wanted to do some sort of artwork, but felt I didn't have any natural talent for it, since I couldn't draw, paint, etc. In my early forties, I made some collages just for my own amusement, and before I knew it, I was embarked on creating an entire 78-card tarot deck! (You can see the deck elsewhere on this website.) The deck took about a year to complete, then Goddess icons started calling me, and other forms of creative expression, until making art became one of my great passions. Each collage shown in the main gallery was created in the traditional paper/glue way, not digitally. In the other linked pages, some art is digital, some paper, some a bit of both.
This and all my work is inspired by and dedicated to the Goddess Brigid May her flame always burn within me.
